That Desi Spark, formerly known as The Woke Desi, is a bold podcast created by three founders who recognized a space void of color and conversation around the topics that impact dual-identity, South Asian millennials the most. From education to entertainment and social justice issues to social media trends, That Desi Spark approaches each episode with compassion, advocacy, and information, bolstered by subject-area experts and unfiltered celebrity moments.
How Did We Help?
For That Desi Spark, formerly The Woke Desi, our team led a brand revamp to reflect their shift towards a more inclusive and expansive platform. Originally focused on South Asian culture and identity, the podcast wanted to grow beyond its niche and engage a wider audience with a broader range of topics—from politics and current events to personal growth and pop culture.
The rebrand aimed to honor the podcast’s roots while creating a fresh, versatile identity that could resonate with both loyal listeners and new ones. We designed a look and feel that embodies the energy, curiosity, and complexity of the modern South Asian experience.
The new name, That Desi Spark, encapsulates their mission: to illuminate the multidimensional stories that define everyday life, identity, and community for South Asians globally.
With this revamped brand, That Desi Spark is set to become a vibrant hub for South Asians who want to stay informed, connected, and inspired—reflecting not only where they come from, but also where they’re headed.
